The London Powerboat School is a professional Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognised training centre with over 21 years’ experience providing high quality RYA and bespoke powerboat training courses on the tidal Thames.
Based at the historic Trinity Buoy Wharf in the heart of London’s Docklands, we specialise in preparing individuals and families for safe and competent enjoyment in powerboats and RIBs. Come and learn from friendly expert instructors in fully equipped, offshore RIBs.
We offer:
RYA Level 2 Powerboat course
With a competence outcome, this course provides the skills necessary for self-sufficient powerboating in safe conditions and is the basis for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC). Close-quarters handling, man-overboard drill and driving at planing speed are just some of the skills you will learn. See the RYA website for more information. Courses are run over 2 days (09:00 to 17:00), for a maximum of 3 students and cost from £500 per person.

RYA Level 1 Powerboat course
For adult beginners and kids, this one-day course introduces the use of safety equipment, launch and recovery and everyday handling. Find out more on the RYA website. From £275.
