Bill, Principal
Bill has sailed since he can remember and has subsequently had responsibility for boat operations all over the globe. Prior to 2004 Bill worked for Greenpeace, participating in activities around Europe, Australia and the USA both shore-based and at sea from ships. After leaving Greenpeace, Bill founded London Powerboat School in 2004 and has been involved in training both the public and commercial customers in RIBs ever since.
In his spare time Bill can’t just drop the boat thing totally, so enjoys boat-camping with his kids in Scotland, or more recently a trip to the Channel Islands.
Richard, Instructor
With more than 30 years of experience in RIBs, Richard is qualified as an Advanced Powerboat Instructor with the RYA and has the river Thames Local Knowledge Endorsement. He teaches Greenpeace Boat Trainers how to get the best from people in boats whatever their experience and background. Richard loves working on the river Thames, connecting with the surprising amount of wildlife in our training area and the ever changing tides.
Paul, Instructor
After a highflying career at Ford, Paul has fulfilled a lifelong ambition to work on the water and has a commercial licence to operate on the Thames as well as being an RYA instructor and a pillar of the powerboat school.
A keen cyclist, Paul also has a menagerie of possibly too many animals, but they do get him on the telly every now and then!
